Senior Project Manager

Flowtec is partnered with a Design/Build General Contractor headquartered in Birmingham, Mi. Founded in 1987, they are known for the culture, repeat business rate and active leadership team. They seek an experienced Senior Project Manager, due to business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of assigned projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Oversee budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure profitability.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, working closely with superintendents and field staff.
  • Coordinate self-perform crews and subcontractors across multiple scopes (civil, concrete, interiors, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants.
  • Lead progress meetings, prepare project status reports, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Support estimating and preconstruction teams during bid phases.
  • Mentor project engineers and junior staff, contributing to team development.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
  • 10+ years of experience in project management within commercial construction.
  • Experience managing self-perform trades (concrete, sitework, interiors) strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead projects ranging from $10M–$50M+.
  • Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Financial acumen with a track record of managing budgets, cost controls, and forecasting.

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary, between $120,000 – $150,000
  • Bi-Annual bonus, typically between 12-15% of base salary
