Outside Sales Representative

This position is remote, but you must be located in the Houston area!

A leading industrial solutions provider is seeking a driven Business Development / Outside Sales professional to spearhead growth in a high-demand product category serving energy, petrochemical, manufacturing, and water treatment markets. This position offers the chance to become the go-to expert for a critical product line, while building and maintaining strong client and vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead new business efforts and grow market share within a defined territory, focusing on advanced flow control and process equipment solutions.
  • Partner with inside and outside sales teams to target and win large, complex opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, vendors, and OEM partners to expand authorized territories and product offerings.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients, including sizing, quoting, and solution recommendations.
  • Collaborate with marketing to design and execute impactful campaigns that drive category growth.
  • Develop proposals and business plans for strategic opportunities, presenting directly to customer decision-makers.

Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of technical outside sales experience in filtration, flow control, process equipment, or related industrial products.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn complex systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, close large deals, and deliver consistent sales growth year over year.
  • Skilled in vendor negotiation, strategic account development, and solution-based selling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
