Job Title: Head of Business Develoment

Location: Denmark, remote

We are partnering with a pioneering defense technology company that develops advanced unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) to deliver maritime intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions for military, homeland security, and commercial clients.

The Head of Defense Business Developmentwill lead market engagement across Denmark and Europe, with a focus on securing major defense programs in maritime domain awareness and ocean survey.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Pipeline: Develop and execute a defense sales strategy for Denmark and key European markets; maintain a strong pipeline across government and allied organizations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary interface with senior defense decision-makers, acquisition authorities, and military end-users across Europe.
• Capture & Proposals: Lead the full capture process, from opportunity identification through to bid strategy, teaming, proposal management, and contract negotiations.
• Market Intelligence: Track budgets, procurement priorities, and modernization initiatives; analyze competitors and position the company as a leader in uncrewed maritime solutions.
• Collaboration: Coordinate closely with global teams to ensure successful delivery, knowledge-sharing, and alignment with corporate targets and product development.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in defense sector sales, with experience selling to ministries of defense, naval forces, or maritime security agencies in Europe.
• Deep knowledge of European defense procurement frameworks, offset obligations, and industrial participation models.
• Background in maritime systems or defense technology preferred
• Skilled in contract negotiations and managing complex deals.
• Fluent in English and Danish.
• Eligible for Danish and NATO security clearance.
• Based in Copenhagen with flexibility for extensive European travel.
