The Senior Project Executive (SPX) will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and project management expertise for all active construction projects. This role will also involve managing and mentoring the Project Management Department, ensuring adherence to company standards, customer satisfaction, and financial objectives. The SPX will act as a key liaison between executive leadership, project teams, and clients, driving project success from initiation to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of multiple active construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Establish and maintain high-quality standards in construction and electrical systems, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Lead high-level project reviews with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Department Management
- Supervise and mentor Project Managers (PMs), Assistant PMs, and other project staff.
- Enforce project management processes, procedures, and tools to optimize efficiency and consistency.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development for department personnel.
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align projects with company goals and priorities.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for complex project issues.
- Contribute to business development efforts, supporting bid reviews, client proposals, and contract negotiation
Financial Management
- Establish project budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure profitability.
- Approve major project expenditures and manage overall project financial health.
- Lead monthly project billing reviews with the accounting team and ensure timely client payments.
- Client Relations
- Address and resolve client concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety on all job sites and within the Project Management Department.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project delivery.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a focus on electrical contracting. (Managing MEP teams acceptable).
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale multifamily high rise, commercial, industrial projects.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools, such as Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with high-rise, tenant improvements, and mission-critical environments is a plus.
