Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, this Project Executive will be responsible for growing key accounts and continuing to expand my clients presence in the Chicago market. After record breaking back to back years, and moving into a brand new office space, my client is looking for senior leadership to sustain this growth and help continue their expansion in Chicago. Their private clients are providing a strong backlog of work through next year, ranging from $10M-$50M, so this Project Executive will be primed for future promotions.
Candidate Requirements:
- Individuals should have a minimum of 12-15 years experience in the industry, with at least 6-8 as a Project Manager and leadership experience. Projects should preferably be in high-end, private sector, preferably in the Chicago market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Building Operations – has a range of experience in field operations and construction means and methods, including project scheduling, management systems, and project closeout.
- Estimating – can participate in developing bid strategy. Can develop sub bid packages, negotiate, and award subcontracts.
- Staff Management – actively manages and develops the project staff by setting goals and priorities for the team and holding them accountable. Coaches staff members and aids in their career development.
- Contract Agreements – knows the business terms of the owner contract and how they affect project outcomes; enforces contract terms with both subcontractors and Owners.
- Safety Management – participates in and holds the project team accountable for proactive safety practices.
- Client Relationships – establishes positive relationships with clients.
- Financial Understanding – understands project cost reporting systems, and can use them to accurately communicate the financial status of a project.
- Problem Identification and Resolution – recognizes and drives the resolution of any obstacles preventing success in all areas of the project – schedule, budget, subcontractors, staff, change orders, means and methods, customer satisfaction, etc. Is decisive in resolving tough issues.
- Profitability: Optimizing Financial Success – coaches the team on what makes money and holds the team accountable for doing the things that deliver results – quality, safety, buyout, cost control, change orders, schedule, customer service.
Job Offer:
- $145,000 – $185,000 base salary
