VP Operations, Energy & Renewables

Our client is a publicly traded renewable energy developer with a multi-gigawatt portfolio spanning wind, solar and battery storage across North America. The business has entered an accelerated build-out phase and is seeking a VP Operations to bring rigour and scale to its project delivery and asset management functions.

Role summary: Accountable for delivery excellence across project execution, O&M strategy, and regional operations for wind, solar and energy storage portfolios.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead project delivery teams to ensure on-time, on-budget commissioning;
• Define O&M standards and drive reliability improvements;
• Manage third-party contractors and supply chain relationships;
• Collaborate with commercial and development to hand over projects efficiently;
• Drive HSE and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or related field;
• 12+ years in renewable project operations or infrastructure;
• Proven P&L responsibility and large-team leadership;
• Experience with US interconnection, ISO markets, and permitting is preferred.
